It operates at temperatures from 150 to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, and with an embedded thermostat, it responses quickly to temperature changes. The polished steel plate measures 1 inch thick, resisting wear and tear as it repeatedly heats up and cools down. There is a bull-nose front on this Star 624TF Star-Max griddle to keep the operator separated from the heat. Grease splatter and crumbs are kept on the cooktop with tapered side splashes.
